Volunteer Jana: "It is very interesting to know a little more about the life of this home, both in its organization and in its history."

According to Rebeca*, who is nine years old, this year’s winter vacation at NPH Bolivia was the best winter vacation ever. A group of five young people from a Scout group from Barcelona came to Bolivia to volunteer at our home. “Our goal was to help at the home.” They did it by organizing activities for the children during their winter vacation.

Said 18 year-old-volunteer Joan: "The people are very welcoming, and it has been a pleasure for us to share a few days with them. We had a great time with the children and we were able to give them two weeks full of activities to have fun."

Every morning and every evening, children of different ages participated in the planed events, and they all had fun together. Within these two weeks, they did sports, workshops, language activities, traditional Catalan games and much more. The children really liked a workshop where they made juggling balls with balloons and raw rice. They also enjoyed sports like volleyball and soccer.

Víctor, the leader of the volunteer youth group: “Soccer is the sport of Bolivia. The children have it in their souls. It has been a pleasure to play with them and share their passion."

Mauricio*, a nine-year-old in our home, sums it up. “This vacation passed way to fast. I hope the Spaniards will come back next year. I would love to have winter activities with them again.”
